If the goods are unable to re-export within the validity of the Carnet contact your ATA Carnet Service Representative to obtain a Replacement Carnet.

All holders should keep as much documentation (e.g. Lockdown notice, airline ticket cancellations/re-bookings, hotel reservations extensions etc.) as possible to support their cases.

ATA Carnet Specifics:

• German customs typically limits the time allowed in Germany for live animals entering on an ATA Carnet to the duration of a health certificate.
• If the duration of a health certificate is three months, then German customs will restrict the entry of the live animal(s) to three months.
• If you are importing live animal(s) into Germany, ensure to verify the “final date” in section 2 of the white importation counterfoil to determine the date by which the live animal(s) must be re-exported.
