How Much Does an ATA Carnet Cost?

Use this Fee Schedule as a guide to determining the costs for obtaining an ATA Carnet and ATA Carnet-related services. When submitting your application via CarnetsOnline™ the fees will be automatically calculated for you and displayed on the Estimated Fee page. ATA Carnet Lost Document Coverage and ATA Carnet Cargo Insurance are optional services. Please be advised: As of February 1st, 2022 the ATA Carnet processing fees set by the national guarantee association for ATA Carnets, US Council for International Business (USCIB) were increased. Read the USCIB notice.

ATA Carnet Basic Fee

All ATA Carnets are assessed a Base fee. The Base fee is calculated based upon the total value of the General List. The fee covers the first page of the General List and up to four sets of counterfoils and corresponding vouchers (U.S., foreign or transit).

ATA Carnet Security Deposit and Bond

The United States Council for International Business (USCIB) generally requires a security/bond amount of 40% of the total General List value. In some cases where vehicles are traveling on an ATA Carnet USCIB requires 100% to 150% of the value for the security deposit. For further clarification please contact your ATA Carnet Help Desk at 1-800-CARNETS (1 800-227-6387) or Carnets@RoanokeGroup.com.

Replacement ATA Carnets

Replacement ATA Carnets are commonly referred to as Extension ATA Carnets as they allow the goods to stay in the foreign ATA Carnet beyond the initial expiration date. These ATA Carnets are subject to approval and are not accepted in all ATA Carnet countries. Please consult your ATA Carnet Help Desk for further details 1-800-CARNETS (1 800-227-6387) or by email Carnets@ RoanokeGroup.com. Replacement ATA Carnets are new documents and thus require a new security deposit.
